Retreat for horses
Yes horses experience trauma and grief too. We treat horses to their own personal retreat where they get groomed daily, massage and reiki twice a month, and land to be a horse on. Horses that display an interest to be in our Grief Camp program are then worked with to be qualified candidates for people who attend.
We have many options for you to heal whether that is just simply being left alone to stare at the horses and mountains, work with the horses, practice meditation, or work one on one with a hypnotherapist. Depending on what you are seeking we personalize the program for you after a process that involves getting to know you more over the phone, intake forms, and discussing the best options for you. We have learned there is not one way to heal. Rather there are many and we honor that everyone has their own unique experience. Listen To The Horses really does listen to what you are seeking on your healing path.
If one chooses to explore meditation as a healing process we educate them on mindful practices and they have the option to experience iREST.
iRest Yoga Nidra has been developed over the past twenty-six years by Richard Miller, PhD, a clinical psychologist, author, researcher and yogic scholar, and is uniquely suitable for a Western audience. Extensive research has shown that iRest effectively supports the healing process across a broad range of populations. Currently, there are iRest programs in military hospitals across the U.S., as well as in correctional facilities, hospices, clinics, schools, and organizations supporting personal growth and well-being. In June of 2010, iRest was endorsed by the US Army Surgeon General and Defense Centers of Excellence as a complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). Learn more about iRest Research.
How It Works
iRest is integrative, in that it heals the various unresolved issues, traumas, and wounds that are present in the body and mind. It is restorative in that it aids its practitioners in recognizing their underlying peace of mind that is always present amidst all changing circumstances of life.
Natalie has spent years exploring and studying the subconscious mind. However she never thought about using hypnosis for trauma and grief. To her surprise working one on one with a hypnotherapist during her time grieving and trauma was shockingly helpful. We give you the option work with Tamara Niemann Certified Clinical Hypnosis at the ranch. Her track record of helping people heal is unbelievable and her method continues to be super effective.
The subconscious mind is always at work influencing your behavior, shaping your personality, affecting your confidence, your decisions, and your reactions. It is playing a part in your entire life. Most of us were never taught the incredible force of our own minds, or the ability to influence the subconscious patterns which govern who we are and what we do. Think of your subconscious as a hard drive, holding all of your memories, beliefs, feelings, and experiences. Your subconscious guides every decision you make using this information. Your behavior, actions, and habits are all dictated by your subconscious programming. Hypnosis is the KEY to reaching and reprogramming your subconscious mind. Your subconscious operates covertly--just beneath the surface. For example, if you have low confidence, it stems from a belief held in your subconscious from prior experiences giving you stress, negative self-talk, or perhaps social anxiety. With hypnosis, we can reach the subconscious and change the beliefs associated with negative patterns.
